Promise Series
For your Creator will be your husband; the LORD of Heaven’s Armies is His name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth. (1)
That God got divorced and remarried 4 times. And the second marriage was a long campaign of back and forth with his second wife...Can a mother forget her nursing child yet I will not forget you...You have given me the letter of divorce Yet return to me
His first marriage and covenant was with Adam and Eve. When He first created man and started His covenant with them that they should be fruitful and multiply (i). A covenant of obedience to eat from all the fruit of the garden except one. The fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God’s first marriage covenant broke down when Adam and Eve broke their vow when they chose the seduction of the serpent who enticed them with glory, self indulgence and a so called freedom. Adam and Eve surrendered to the seduction of the snake and broke their covenant with God.
Seen as you have eaten from the fruit I told you not to you will no longer be in the garden
Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
So many years later God found a faithful couple to make a new covenant with man, Noah and his wife. Noah was unlike all the other people of his time. He was a just man and perfect in his generation. This was not the perfection of being without fault. No he was a just man not because was perfect but because he walked with God. So that as he walked with God he would be justified of his imperfections through communion with God. So that through this communion he shared with God he would be made perfect. Noah was just and made perfect by his faith in God. His trust and communion that kept him on the right path even if his feet would slip or stumble. Through Noah's communion with God, he was able to get back on the right path until the end.
Enoch walked with God and he was not because God took him
And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make [g]rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. 15 And this is how you shall make it
Unfortunately, God once again had to go through another divorce to the ancient world that abided in the time of Noah due to the corruption and violence that had become infectious to the sons of men. Only Noah and his family remained immune to this pandemic that had taken over the sons of men. Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did (i).
After God divorced the ancient world with a flood. He began once again with a new covenant with Noah and his family. A new marriage, new beginnings of peace and security to never flood the earth again. As a sign of this covenant God gave to mankind the rainbow…
And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
Many years passed and the covenant that God made with Noah remains a faithful reminder in the sky until today. The rainbow. Yet the family of Noah had passed away and God needed to separate for Himself a nation that would be used to bring forth the Promised Seed (i) from the Garden. That’s when God found Abraham and Sarah.
Even though all the nations and families around them would worship idols and have many wives and multiple children. God found in Abram a faithful man. Sarai was a barren woman which was like a curse and defect for the women of her time. So that it was normal and acceptable for a man to find another wife so that he would have descendants through his seed. To have descendants was so important as it was the continuation of the seed and the family name. Yet Abram had such a faith, love and loyalty to Sarah that he did not follow the ways of the people of his time even his own father's house.
He remained faithful. A man after Gods own heart. So God began with Abraham a new covenant with in the flesh. A covenant of the circumcision of the flesh that today is the circumcision of the heart through Jesus Christ. Yet through Abraham and his family this would be the renewed vow between God and man. Made through the covenant with Abraham to cut the flesh, the foreskin of the carnal excess of man in exchange to remain faithful to God in this decision and action. To be separated from the world and the other nations and to pass in onto his children and their children. A covenant in the flesh.
And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. This isMy covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.
So this was the start of Gods 3rd marriage. The first one fell when the covenant was broken with disobedience by Adam and Eve. The second was established through Noah with the sign of the rainbow continued until today. But Noah and his family died with offspring’s scattered throughout the earth after the Tower of Babel was built in defiance against God by the mighty hunter Nimrod who made himself the self proclaimed Promised Seed. Seen as he was so strong powerful and managed to dominate the earth. Nimrod and his prostitute wife Semiramis gave birth to the spirit of Babylon an apposing spirit of religion that spread throughout the earth with the dispersion of man. The idolatry of the mother and son worship found echoed throughout the ancient religious practices until the present time. Apposing and misdirecting the truth of the Promised Son determined since the beginning in the Garden. Making the Promised Seed fulfilled by the prophecy a mere replication and reincarnation of the patron and matron of religion in the form of Baal and Asherah the god and goddess of sexual worship, money and power. Nimrod and Semiramis who posed as a virgin gave birth to Tammuz who symbolically was represented as the Promised Seed. Truly was in fact a seed that gave birth to religion reincarnated and dispersed through the ancient world overshadowing the lineage and intentionally plan of Salvation God was preparing there after through this 3rd encounter and New begins from the age of religion uttered in from the early descendants of Noah by Nimrod his grandson.
God found in Abraham His 3rd marriage with man. Abraham and Sarah was a couple who chose to separate themselves from the form of religion that had infected the gene pool of man. God began once again a new covenant that would prepare the way for the Promised Seed, the plan of Salvation. The reconciliation between God and man. Through the Son of God Himself.
The plan of salvation was renewed through Abraham by the covenant in the flesh that would usher in the Age of a holy nation separate from all the other nations of the earth. A nation where God could pass down His ways, His teachings and guidance to fulfil His original command to be fruitful and multiply preparing the Way for the Promise. Yet not only fruitful and multiply in material and physical things but the true riches of wisdom and the fear of God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and those who are wise will eat of its fruit
For this is man’s all to fear God
This marriage started off well but passed through many turbulent moments through out the years and descendant of Abraham with whom God made His covenant with him and his descendants (I will make my covenant with you and your descendent forever). A little down the line of the lineage of Abraham to his grandson Jacob who became Isreal. The children of Isreal were then delivered from famine through Joseph. Yet they forgot about God, the promised land sworn to be inherited by their fathers and chose to remain in Egypt till they became slaves. Yet God did not forget about them. He did not forget about the covenant and promise He made to Abraham His friend and warned Abraham his friend of things that would come to pass with yet a faithful promise and assurance of deliverance.
Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions. Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”
So the covenant of marriage with Isreal the people of God withstood the test of time. It went through unfaithfulness. Absence. Even separation many times when the people would be taken away captive as a letter of divorce, a consequence when they turned their backs to God to serve the gods and idols of the other nations many times and again. Yet return to Me.
