Purpose Edition
Now the serpent was more cunning than any Beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the Garden’...? (1)
Movements of equality and rights mirror the same liberation that Eve thought that she needed to have when the offer was presented to her by the Serpent in his cunning hidden agendas to deceive and steal the freedom that she already had in God and His love and care that they shared together in communion, peace and safety, whilst in the Garden. Movements have become like this breach made in the uprising of claims for more power, freedom, liberation and diversity. Yet creation already reflects this power, freedom, liberation and diversity that is bestowed upon the very existence of man as the heirs and caretakers of the earth. With nationalities, colours, race, genders that stand as an array of light reflecting the diversity, gifts and talents that God has bestowed upon His creation of mankind to be fruitful, multiply and subdue the earth.
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”(2)
What more liberation is needed than that which had already been declared and bestowed upon them by the Creator Himself. A power and authority that was cunningly intercepted by the Serpent in his crafty suggestion to blindsight Eve from the obvious Truth that she already had in God. Power, freedom, liberation and rights like our Virtuous woman of Proverbs 31 already had, that we recalled in our blog post Sarah (3). From whom all the diversity of man came forth from every nation and tongue, to the ends of the earth and Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living (4).
Movements are like the cunning of the Serpent to claim rights that have already been freely given yet by the unrighteousness and injustice of man are indeed sometimes unjustly withheld and shown impartiality. Yet how to reclaim a rights that is already ours given by God, a rights that the Proverbs 31 woman knew, a rights that Adam and Eve already had. Yet rights that are at times unjustly withheld from men through discrimination, dishonesty, selfishness and pride. How to claim what is rightfully ours to be fruitful and multiply, to subdue the earth, a naturally diverse breeding ground of all nations, race and gender without making an alliance with the Serpent; making movements and revolts that lead to confusion and breaches that hinge upon the rights and protection of the innocent and the unknowing. Without opening the doors to hidden agendas that will eventually transform our world into an unrecognisable transformation far from its natural state and Purpose that has kept and sustained it throughout time and existence.
The THIEF does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it more abundantly. (5)
Yes our liberation can be found in Jesus. Liberation of women. Liberation of equal rights. Liberation of Purpose, to know your Purpose in life can all be found in Him. Yes I know you are tired of me singing the same old song... yet If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied (6). The true liberation of man is the liberation of the Soul. The peace of God that surpasses all understanding (7). Knowing that in this life we will not have peace but tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world (8). Yes He has overcome the world! Jesus Overcame! He overcame discrimination for being from the worse part of Isreal, a low life Nazarene (9) the least amongst the nation of Isreal (10). He overcame the shame of probably being labelled a bastard child for being conceived through the Holy Spirit (11) before Mary got married to Joseph. He overcame lack by multiplying the bread and the fish when He presented it to God and fed thousands (12), even paid His debts by faith when He told Peter to fetch money from a fish (13). He overcame the system and religious oppression when He overcame the cross after being wrongly condemned to death and crucified (14). Forgiving His offenders and is now seated at the right hand of God to grant this same victory to those who are despised, rejected and suffer injustice and discrimination just as He faced (15). He is the movement. Jesus is the movement. He is the banner Man who was raised up, even overcoming death and the grave so He may raise from the grave (16) of injustice and discrimination those who call upon Him and believe in His name, in the Son of God, the Promised Seed and the Messiah, Saviour of our Souls when we have Faith in His deliverance. This is the work of God that you believe in Him whom He sent (17)
Call upon Me in your day of trouble and I will deliver you and you will glorify Me (18)
Why entertain those elusive conversations with the Serpent and all his movements when you can call upon the God of all the earth who has given to His Promised Son, the Promised Seed authority to subdue all His enemies (19); as His enemies of unrighteousness, injustice, discrimination and sufferings are also our enemies too, didn't you know... We are His flock the sheep of His pasture and He cares for us and wants to protect us and lead us to green pastures without striking a deal with the Serpent. A Serpent who gives freedom and rights that he does not really have yet takes away our true freedom and rights that is already ours to begin with. Do you see it?
Thus movements are nothing but an obscure mirror that only blindsight its followers to pursue rights that are already their's to open up breaches through smoking mirrors of confusion and a distractions to its real agenda's. Agendas as the likes of that which took place in the Garden that robbed a once innocent Adam and Eve of their peace and safety departing from the protection established by God to be at the mercy of the Serpent and his unyielding thirst for vengeance upon the creation (20). A creation Purposed and made to be the image and likeness of God. What more do you need?
