New Beginnings

Love, Forgiveness and SECOND CHANCES… But let’s not forget to be open to NEW BEGINNINGS…

After all let’s be real… there is no going back to that GARDEN. "The Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way"(1)But we see through Jesus the example of a chance for New BEGINNINGS with God.

“Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!(2)

Yes people something New.

 That’s what we have in Jesus, the first Adam may have FAILED but the second Adam became a LIFE giving Spirit. And sometimes in life we start with those failed  Adam’s. Failed Adam’s of a bad relationship, failed Adam’s of a wrong career choice or studies… that just didn’t work out the way it was supposed to. It can be from our own faults and INEXPERIENCE, from the immaturity of first times, not enough information and research, impatience and ANXIETY, impulsiveness and the list goes on…

 So the last shall be first, and the first last (3)

Come on I mean Adam was the FIRST, who did he have as an example to know how bad things can get when you accept bad advice or ignore good reasoning or act impulsively to inclinations we ALL have. Usually we learn from those who went before us and made mistakes so we don’t have to, otherwise we only learn when we fall and hit our heads on the WALL Today we have countless examples of errors and good role models and the Word of God leaves us testimonies of failures and successes we are today able to use in our day to day life to become that second Adam like the Son of God.

So as much as we want and should STRIVE by all means to have that original Garden to stay INTACT and hold its peace, sometimes the damage can be so great there is nothing left to do but to start all over again and make an even BETTER one the next time round. Of course this way is unfortunately the hard way, as we have to face the CONSEQUENCES of having to break down and start again. Look at the outcome of the sons of Adam; Cain and Abel after the SEPERATION from paradise.

Prevention is better than cure…

It’s better to keep, PRESERVE and strive to remain in that paradise you have started, as the consequences can sometimes be UNBEARABLE… especially for the CHILDREN. But don’t let that stop you from moving forward into that something New if that happens, that God allows us to find after all the damage is done. Yes we will be disciplined and LEARN from our mistakes from those consequences, so that we can become better and PERFECTED, but not perfect, when we find the courage and FAITH to start again and embrace that something NEW.

 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (4)

Did you know that God made that PROMISE after His people Isreal, messed up and had to be taken away as captives for their errors and MISTAKES. But the character of God in all His discipline and JUSTICE is love, HOPE and faith for RECONCILIATION and a NEW START whilst we still have an OPPORTUNITY in this life. Where there is LIFE there is hope.

Return to Me (5)

Return to what… return to getting things RIGHT this time.

See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you… (6)
