Sometimes the PURPOSE and successions of the PROBLEMS, strife's and even our own mistakes we make is to allow and cause a SEPARATION… Yes problems cause a separation! Why? What for? What's the purpose? Why do problems come? What is it separating and why?
The problems HIGHLIGHT and distinguish to us in the end the evident CHOICE, the evident way and the evident decision determined as a result of that problem. That without that OBSTACLE that arises we would not be able to PERCEIVE on our own understanding. The PROBLEM is like a door when we pass through it, it in fact leads to and makes known the RIGHT CHOICE in the end. Whether in agreement to what we expect, want or not the PROBLEMS are a non bias PROOF CHECK of what is good and what is bad but its benefits is CONDITIONAL to whether we TRUST, believe and SURRENDER to its final OUTCOME or not.
NO!! IT'S NOT FAIR...!!!
God allows the PROBLEMS to come, He does not cause the problem, it is usually from the CONSEQUENCES of human error or chance, whether directly from our own actions or INDIRECTLY in the case of someone else's mistake towards us. Nonetheless, God allows that PROBLEM as a way to show or PROVE what indeed is that "good and acceptable and perfect will of God(1) for us in the END but remember only IF we BELIEVE and trust.
Why doesn't God intervene? Why does He allow it to happen?
Because He sees ahead remember? He knows the future, He knows the plans He has for us, plans that are good and not evil (2) and He has this in store for everyone at the same time in the Matrix of His omnipotence. He allows the PROBLEMS because sometimes He has something better for us, something good. He allows the PROBLEMS because sometimes He wants to remove what is bad from our lives that will cause us harm in the future, like any loving father would do for their child... But would that child understand? Lets be honest...NO! That child will cry until they fall asleep because they just don't understand why Mama or Tata would do that. Why? Because they love them and only want the BEST for them, knowing better what will be the end of the matter or that path that they might CHOOSE.
When God cannot use or will not use something or someone, or even to test who will be the RIGHT fit, when something is not apart of His will and plans He has for us... "for I know. the plans I have for you"(2)... He allows (not cause) the PROBLEMS or strife to cause a SEPARATION... to lead us in a different WAY than the path, people or choices we were heading towards unaware of the end result of our own ways.
'Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take"(3)
The PROBLEMS causes a SEPARATION to either confirm or DENOUNCE that thing, person or choice... But also to PROVE and determine that something or someone is indeed apart of Gods will and plans He has for us because when that PROBLEM or strife happens He saves and delivers when that thing, person or WAY is TRUE. Like gold refined in the fire it becomes CERTIFIED and proven to be REAL and true so it is with the CHOICE that becomes evident through the PROBLEM.
What is not TRUE becomes burned up and melts when it is FAKE and no good so that we are free to toss it away. What is TRUE and the CHOSEN remains and endures the tests that the PROBLEMS bring.
And thank God for the PROBLEMS, it is truly doing us a favour... when we ring our heads, is it right? is it wrong? should I go a head? is it going to work out?... just wait for it... your DELIVERER is at hand! PROBLEMS! Problems are the SOLUTION, it is the test of fire and its PROOF CHECK is undeniable and clear as to the NEXT path that is TRUE and RIGHT for us to pursue. Thank God for PROBLEMS!
Problems are the PROOF check of LIFE. When the thing, person or path is from God He sends DELIVERANCE, the PROBLEM that was supposed to be the END instead is used to DISTINGUISH the mark of APPROVAL. When it is unapproved and not apart of the good and perfect plans God has for us, that PROBLEM comes to remove that thing, person or path from our lives and those who TRUST in God reaps the BENEFITS because He leads us after to that RIGHT choice that will bring GOOD to us... but those who don't accept that right CHOICE that the problem HIGHLIGHTS will unfortunately not experience its BENEFITS...
This sort of deliverance, intervention and PROOF happened in the case of Joseph and many heroes of faith in the Word of God, even JESUS!
God had a plan for Joseph, a dream that He gave to him and Joseph told his brothers who did not believe and despised him. So much so they tried to kill him and in the end sent him away to become a slave in Egypt. This PROBLEM that arose was in fact, an opportunity to PROVE to Joseph and to his brothers that the dream that God gave him was in fact TRUE and apart of Gods good and perfect will for a greater plan of DELIVERANCE...
If Joseph was a FAKE, liar and not the RIGHT choice as he claimed to be that PROBLEM that arose would have determined that by succeeding in putting an END to all claims, ideas and revelation Joseph had received.
So problems are the DECIDING factor to SEPARATE what is TRUE from what is false...
So much so this happened in REVERSE for King David; where a PROBLEM that arose from his own error and mistake DENOUNCED an outcome that King David desperately desired to be approved. But in his FAITH and trust in God the RIGHT choice was later REVEALED of what was the good and perfect will of God for his life, future and the KINGDOM. Far better than what he could have hoped for because he trusted in the divine OUTCOME of what the PROBLEM made EVIDENT.
David had taken the wife of his officer... got rid of the husband... confessed... asked God and the people for forgiveness... was forgiven... now the baby is born out of that horrible scandal at the verge of death because of a birth defect and the weight of the guilt he bore before his people as King... now what…!
PROBLEMS… a problem as a consequence of human error… now comes the SEPARATING factor... will the baby live or die… Gods take in this?… is the life of this newly born baby according to that good and perfect plan of God or not? God in His fore knowledge: will the future of this baby be more beneficial to be amongst the living or to be taken away to be with Him in PARADISE while still in its INNOCENCE...?
"I decided that the dead are better off than the living. But those who have never been born are better off still. They have not seen the evil that is done here on earth.'"(5)
God is not the reason or at fault for this horrible dilemma in David’s life, it was a CONSEQUENCE of his own bad DECISION that unfortunately opened up the possibility of this tragic scenario. Bearing in mind that the same can happen to those who are NOT at fault but still can have FAITH that whether or not we receive the OUTCOME of what we want from God we must have FAITH in Him for He is our "exceedingly great reward"(6) which means that those who TRUST in Him even if they lose, what will eventually come to those who REMAIN faithful is far greater and incomparable to what they might have lost if they have FAITH, trust and believe in His good and perfect plans He has for us.
But now this PROBLEM that has arose as a consequence in David's case and it's outcome will allow us to understand the will of God when PROBLEMS and strife arise and how the end of the matter which unfolds through time and healing, reveals the good and faithful character of God to take care of us and make the LATTER end greater than the former of all our LOSSES. God does it in such a way as if that latter path, choice, outcome or person was all apart of His plan all along as if it all just fits into perfect place. You don't even remember anymore the former things, "Do not remember the former things nor the things of old behold I am doing something new"(7) Maybe at the time we don’t understand but when we trust Him and SURRENDER to Him He leads us to the place where He wants us to be, as if it were the thing, person or place where we belonged all along... Remember that promise
'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord , thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (2)
Somehow it was as if the PROBLEM became the plan that God had for David, Joseph, Jesus, Abraham and many heroes of faith that had to face DILEMMAS and problems that appeared to be a loss for them but truly was a CLOSED door that led them to an even GREATER door God was preparing for them, despite the apparent loss. Some PROBLEMS generated by their own MISCONDUCT that reaped its CONSEQUENCES but turning out for good by their FAITH and perseverance in God and some through injustices that ended up FULFILLING and verifying the CHOICE of God made evident by that "PROBLEM".
David in his despair fought hard for the baby to live, he fasted, he prayed he didn’t eat for days(8). Even Abraham who wanted Lot his nephew to be his inheritance, was probably disappointed when STRIFE arose to SEPARATE them (9). Lot deciding to leave Abraham to choose a different way of life for himself by Sodom and Gomorrah. A problem that arose VERIFYING the choice of God, SEPARATING what was TRUE from what was false, FAITHFUL from the unfaithful. And why because the TRUTH would come from Abrahams own body, "this one will not be your heir but one from your own body"(10). The truth and choice of God would come from the miracle of Abraham and Sarah in their old age and barren womb bringing forth the son of Promise, Issac.
David fasted wept, prayed and begged God that He would spare the life of his child…But guess what the child DIED. And David got up ended his fasting and went to war continuing in faith and serving God, looking after his kingdom… Why such a nonchalant behaviour from David? Why was he not crying in despair, broken, even angry with God for the death of his son. Why didn’t God answer? Why did He allow the baby to die? Why? Why? Why????
You know why we didn’t see that REACTION from David? Because David trusted in the good and perfect supreme will of God. The Lord is holy, the Lord is wise. 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord , thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (2). David knew and understood the FAITHFUL and GOOD character of God as a loving Father, that if God allowed him to suffer that loss God knew what was best. That somehow it was better for that baby to die. Indeed because that baby would be in PARADISE with God and wouldn’t face the humiliation of the way he was born… And not only that but God in His infinite mercy and grace gave to David from that same union a much GREATER inheritance of a child.
King Solomon the Great.
Yes the PROBLEM came to bring the SEPARATING factor. That the child would die and be with God in paradise after all the scandal, pain and suffering. Then Solomon sanctified by the newly married King David and the wife of Uriah would be his inheritance. Because God is Holy and Wise far beyond our understanding. And in His mercy was sparing the babe from suffering the consequence of his parents sins.
'“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord . “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. '(11)
Solomon became amongst the greatest, wisest kings of all time and the richest to ever live. Abraham lost Lot who was a Lot to handle because he did not want to follow in the ways of Abraham he wanted to do his own thing. So a PROBLEM came to be the DECIDING factor. And indeed it caused a SEPARATION to PROVE what was truly the will of God because Lot left, he was not FAITHFUL in the END... He did not remain and withstand the test of fire that the PROBLEM brought forth to TEST whether he was TRUE or false. God already knowing but allowed the PROBLEM to proof check his AUTHENTICITY that it was NULL VOID as they say...
However when God uses the PROBLEM to PROVE something is of His will. The PROBLEM makes it KNOWN and manifest. A PROBLEM that should have destroyed and CANCEL all claims but instead that problem is used to exalt and VERIFY the TRUTH, indeed that it is the hand of the Lord.
This is the case with Joseph and JESUS.
Joseph claimed to received a vision and dream from God to exalt him high above his brothers. Jesus likewise claimed before His brethren’s at the time, to be the Son of God and the Messiah of His people. Jospehs brothers caused a PROBLEM to REFUTE these claims even to the point of almost killing him to bury his dream and him, resolving to selling him off as a slave. A PROBLEM that was supposed to END all dispute of his claim to glory. The same happened with the Pharisees, they also provoked the PROBLEM to crucify Jesus to put an END to His claims of being the Son of God and MESSIAH. A PROBLEM that allowed God to prove that the thing was of Him and His doing.
“Aren’t You the Messiah? Save Yourself..." (12)
Joseph's time in Egypt FULFILLED the dream that God gave Him raising him far above his brothers. The PROBLEM that arose of the crucifixion PROVED indeed that Jesus was the Son of God because He RESURRECTED from the grave and is now seated at the right hand of God, glorified.
So problems are the answer of God. Problems REVEAL His CHOSEN and His will and His PURPOSES and plans for our life. PROBLEMS separate what is wheat the GOOD and perfect will of God from what is chaff those things that get blown away by the wind of PROBLEMS. Problems CONFIRMS and denounces. Problems are the answer of God.
Want to know if something is GOOD or not? If it is TRUE or false? Wait for the PROBLEM to come… what REMAINS is GOOD and TRUE, what is taken away by the wind of problems is FALSE and no good. Problems AMPLIFIES the truth and PROBLEMS denounces the lie. Whether the problems are SELF INFLICTED and a consequence of BAD decisions or they are outside of our CONTROL, in the case of an injustice: PROBLEMS are your PROOF CHECK!
